Cat Lover Series

As many of you know, I start off every drawing session by listening to Taylor Swift’s revolutionary song, “Lover” off her recent album. The lyrics in the chorus really spoke to me as a dog who suffers from separation anxiety:

Can I go where you go?

Can we always be this close for ever and ever?

I am very open about my condition and am seeing a therapy dog to help me manage it and live fully, even when my pawrents are far, far away, such as on the other side of a door. Taylor’s song, “Lover,” marked a real turning point for me and helped accelerate my healing. So, as a thank-you, I decided to do a series called “Cat Lover” inspired by Taylor’s majestic cat, Olivia Benson.
